Welcome to Wichita Friends School!

I am Shelli Kadel and have been the Head of School since 1993. What a joy it has been to work with our families over the years and to provide a quality education focused on the needs of our students.

A Friends School offers a unique educational program seeking out and honoring that of God in each child while providing educational excellence. Our professional and caring staff nurtures the God given gifts, strengths and talents of each student to enable growth to reach the fullest potential. The Kansas State Standards are used by our teachers as the basis for instruction while at the same time allowing for individual paced learning.

Our website contains details about our program, teachers and lists some of the accomplishments of our students. You will notice a full compliment of academic subjects for ages 3 years to sixth grade. Additionally, we offer enrichment through activities such as music, art, PE, foreign languages and cooking.

A peaceful conflict resolution program helps our students learn how to put their growing sense of values into place. Through this program and other time for reflection, respect and dignity for each child can be achieved.
