Math-They took an assessment so I could see how they work.
Reading-We read “Miss Nelson is Missing”. It teaches us about classroom rules and consequences. “The Ant and the Elephant” discusses ways to be kind. “Officer Buckle and Gloria” was about the importance of safety rules, and the “Little Engine that Could”, talked about the importance of doing our best.
Social Studies- They have been working on their continent poster. They have traced the continent and all the countries. Now they are naming all the countries. They are doing a great job! The 2nd graders are working on South America and the 3rd graders are working on Asia.
Science-We will start Science next week. Our first unit is over Life Science: Plants, Animals, and Fossils.
Art-They made self-portraits and added cut-outs to represent things they want you to know about them.
Enrichment-We are doing things a little different this year.
