Preschool teacher - student individual attention

Individualy paced learning -- All children love to learn, beginning in preschool through elementary grades!  Individual teacher attention at all levels keeps young minds engaged and enthusiastic about school.

Playground recess.

Learning takes place everywhere -- In classrooms, in the Library, during daily recess periods, on field trips.  We embrace experiential, hands-on learning as we explore, discover and interact with the world around us.

A worship story about Our School Community and the gifts we each bring.

Our culture centers on Community and Family -- Our school family supports, encourages and cares for one another.  Through all-school activities and weekly worship, our children interact with and cherish each other, younger and older.

Elementary class listens to a test pilot describe his work.
Conscious Discipline classroom management teaches self-esteem and self-control.

Conscious Discipline Classroom Management -- Our classroom social culture and discipline uses Conscious Discipline, which teaches children (and adults!) to recognize their own emotions and find good choices about their responses and behaviors.  We affirm every child's gifts and build self-esteem in all our interactions.

We choose JOY! -- Our teachers treasure every student and cherish that of God in each one.  We want every child to thrive at Wichita Friends School.

Two outdoor recess times daily promote health and friendship.
Library periods help students discover new books and ideas.
Monthly field trips include exploration and discovery.

Enrichment Classes and Field Trips -- Exploration and new experiences are important for young children.  Our weekly enrichment classes expose our students to Art, Music, Spanish, Sign Language, Cooking & Baking, Godly Play Bible stories and organized PE activities.  On Field Trips, students broaden their horizons and explore opportunities in our local area.
